My Nexus 7

I have had my new Nexus 7 for the past month or so now and I must say I have enjoyed it.  I have used an iPad 2 for work for nearly a year now and I know that the Nexus 7 was not to compete with it, but it has been quite the monster compared to the iPad 2.  Everything feels good and flows very well.  I would say from the outside build to the inside build of this tablet, it would have to be one of the best tablets on the market, not just a 7 inch tablet, but overall.  The size of this tablet is perfect to carry in your pocket.  On my Wi-Fi at home this unit is super fast.  Even public Wi-Fi is good because you get used to their speeds with other devices anyway.

This is a great tablet for anyone, young or old, high-tech or not.  I would recommend this tablet to anyone.  Check it out for yourself at the link provided.

If you're in the market for a tablet, research the Nexus 7 along with any other tablets you may want to research and decide for yourself which one you would rather buy.  Don't forget, the Nexus 7 with 8gb only cost $199 and the 16gb is only $249.

Good luck with your new choice of a tablet, and if you get the Nexus 7, Enjoy!

Cell Phone Hype

The Big Announcement!

Is it me or do the cell phone manufacturers seem to be announcing their new phones several months before they actually release them?  At least it seems that way in the U.S.  The latest example I would have to use is the new Samsung Galaxy S III.  They announced it on May 3rd, but the release date was the same old song and dance for the U.S., sometime "this summer".  It seems to me that by the time the phone is released, there is another manufacturer announcing their new phone.  When that happens, it makes me want to wait for the next one because it usually has better specs.

I can say that I don't jump ship from carrier to carrier for new phones, nor do I break a contract to get an E.T.F. (early termination fee) just to get the newest, coolest phone being released.  If it is something that I feel like I can't live without, I might, but everything out and coming out are all pretty close in specs, bells, and whistles.

I must say that the Samsung Galaxy S III and the new HTC One X and S (or EVO 4g) are great devices, but I also think that with rumors that are put out there (on purpose I would imagine) keeps a lot of people waiting to see what the next best thing is going to be.  I must say, I do.

In case you are wondering, I have been on AT&T and T-Mobile.  I am currently on Verizon and Sprint.  I do love the Nexus devices, as I am a Vanilla kind of guy.

Please let me know what you think about the way they announce and release phones and if it drives you crazy or not.

Savings for 4g LTE

Well, Sprint is getting oh so much closer to launching their new 4g LTE network(at least in a few cities). I guess I am bound to try it out, especially since I am in the Dallas area. So, with the new LTE devices and the price for an unlimited data plan, will any of you be jumping ship or if you are already a Sprint customer, will you be trying out the new LTE devices and Network? I am actually somewhat excited to try it and compare it, since I also use Verizon’s 4g LTE.
Let me know what you plan to do and what you think might happen.
